10 high-risk high-return BSE stocks with the best risk-reward — weekly charts, support levels, and analyst targets for August 2026.

JPVFin

August 16, 2026 · 15 min read

We analyzed the top 2000 BSE stocks by market cap and identified 10 high-risk, high-return stocks with the best risk-reward. These are not quick trades — some can take up to a year for a return.

Seven stocks have TradingView analyst one-year targets. Three — Vedant Fashions, Meghmani Organics, and AVT Natural Products — are showing trend reversal on the weekly chart with no analyst target. Stocks are listed in descending order of market cap. Charts are from TradingView; fundamental data is from Screener.in consolidated (NSE close, 14 August 2026).

1. AWL Agri Business Ltd (AWL) — Edible Oil & FMCG

Market cap: ₹24,975 crore

AWL, formerly Adani Wilmar, is one of India's largest food FMCG companies with the flagship brand Fortune. It has a portfolio of kitchen staples — edible oil, wheat flour, rice, pulses, and sugar — along with over 70 manufacturing units and a strong supply-chain network. It has also expanded into personal care. About 78% of revenue comes from edible oil, a high-volume, low-margin business, but the company is diversifying into higher-margin FMCG.

The setup

Trading at ₹192, the stock took strong support around ₹175 in April 2026, which keeps the downside low. Volume on the weekly chart is rising. Over the last year, FIIs have increased their stake significantly while DIIs have reduced theirs slightly. Margins are thin, so even a small margin improvement can boost profit meaningfully. Valuation is attractive.

Frequently asked questions

Which stock has the best risk-reward in this list?

By risk-reward, AWL Agri Business, Krsnaa Diagnostics, and Orient Electric offer the most favorable asymmetry — upside of 28% to 40% against roughly 8% to 9% downside to their key supports. GMM Pfaudler has the highest absolute upside (around 72%) but also the highest risk. This is not investment advice.

Is this swing trading?

No. Unlike swing trading, where positions are held for days to weeks, these setups are driven by one-year analyst targets and may take up to a year to play out. Investors should be prepared to hold for 6 to 12 months and use the stated support levels as risk reference points.

Why are these stocks high risk and high return?

They are mostly mid- and small-cap stocks that have recently bottomed and are re-rating — several are turnaround or re-rating stories (GMM Pfaudler, SH Kelkar, Krsnaa) with analyst upside of 20% to 72%. Three more (Vedant Fashions, Meghmani Organics, and AVT Natural Products) are chart-led trend reversals with no analyst target yet. All carry earnings, liquidity, and volatility risks much higher than large caps.
